Supporting resistance in Silicon Valley

Buzzfeed included my comments in a story about a protest at Palantir in Palo Alto, California, a historically unlikely site for protest (which I happen to know well, having organized resistance to the invasion of Iraq there duing my time in law school 15 years ago). The Tech Worker Coalition's protest was well attended by employees of tech firms—despite being on a rainy Wednesday morning—and particlarly challenged Palantir, a corporate contractor to intelligence agencies, not to profit from a proposed Muslim registry or mass deportations.

I said, "Palantir is particularly well poised to profit from potential policies that the next administration might roll out and has already established very lucrative contracts [for databases that could] very easily be used for horrific purposes."
